    Adsorption Dryer

    The adsorption diryer is mainly composed of two adsorption towers filled with adsorbents. When the compressed air fows through theadsorption towers, the water is absorbed by the adsorbents, thus achieving the purpose of drving the compressed air. The two towersperform drying and regeneration altemately through the air-flow switching valve so that the adsorbents can be recycled.

    The adsorption dryer is divided into two types, i.e. heatless type and micro-heat type, depending on the processused. The basic diference between the two processes lies in the way in which the moisture is removed from thedesiccant, i.e. the way in which the adsorbent is regenerated. How to choose the adsorption dryer technologydepends on the requirements on the compressed air flow and quality of the system, the service cycle cost anaother factors.

     

    Heatless Adsorption Dryer

    This process regenerates the adsorbents by introducing some dry compresed air. The compressed air is discharged through the mufer aftelabsorbing the moisture. This type of dryer requires some dry compressed air to be separated from the system for desiccant regeneration. Asno external power supply is required, the initial investment is lower despite the relatively high operating cost.

    Heat regenerative adsorption dryer (micro air consumption)

    Gardner Denver heat regenerative adsorption dryer adopts the principle of blowerheating to complete efficient drying of compressed air. lt significantly saves the loss otcompressed air and saves energy.

     

    The blower extracts ambient air, which is then heated by an external electric heaterand then enters the regeneration tower for hot regeneration of adsorbents.

    After a period of hot regeneration, power off the heater, and use the blower forcold regeneration and cooling;

    When the temperature of the adsorption tower is reduced to a certain value, usethe dry air at the outlet ofthe working tower for cold regeneration of the regenera-tion tower, with the average air consumption during the cycle less than 3%, so asto finally complete the regeneration and activation of the adsorbent in the regeneration tower.

    When the requirement on outlet air quality is not high (e.g., atmospheric dew point<-40 C), or the ambient temperature is low, we can only use the blower for coldregeneration, without introducing dry air at the outlet of the working tower, sothere is no regenerated air consumption (i.e., regenerated air consumption is zero)

     

    Heat regenerative adsorption dryer (zero air consumption)

    Gardner Denver heat regenerative adsorption dryer adopts the principle of blower heating to complete efficient drying of compressed air.

    It significantly saves the loss of compressed air and saves energy.

    The compressed air enters the adsorption tower, the moisture in the compressed air is absorbed by the adsorbent, and the driedcompressed air is discharged into the use point through the outlet.

    The blower first inhales ambient air, which is then heated by an external electric heater, and then enters the regeneration tower forregeneration of the adsorbent.

    The heater stops working, but the blower keeps running. At this moment, the blower, the adsorption tower and the water cooler forma closed circulation loop untilthe temperature of the adsorption tower is lowered to the set value. lt is special dosed circulation thatachieves true zero air consumption..

     

    Product features

    Each tower body is provided with a pressure gauge and a safety valve.

    The regeneration circulation includes an appropriate cooling period to prevent dew point peaks from occuring during the switch.
